Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year! Everything about it makes me so happy- the changing leaves, the cooler temperatures, the cute sweaters, and the Fall food! These crispy apple chips are perfect for Fall. With a sprinkle of cinnamon, they are sure to put you in the Fall mood. In our house, we eat these like potato chips. They are a much healthier alternative to potato chips and are pretty simple to make. This is a great recipe to use after apple picking! Your whole family will love them!

You will need: Apples (I use five apples per batch), cinnamon, parchment paper, two large baking sheets, a mandoline slicer (I purchased mine at Target for $14.99), and an apple corer.

First, preheat your oven to 200 degrees.  Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Next, using your apple corer, core all five of your apples.

Then, using the mandoline slicer, slice each apple.

Once you are finished slicing the apples, lay the apple slices on the baking sheets in a single layer. Sprinkle cinnamon onto each side of the apples (we like a lot of cinnamon!).

I like to use my fingers to rub the cinnamon into the slices.

Then, put the baking sheets into the oven for 2.5 hours (these are going to cook low and slow! I promise it's worth the wait to get the perfect crispiness). After 2.5 hours, I turn my oven off and let the apples sit in the oven for another hour. I then remove them from the oven and allow them to cool. I store them in a ziploc bag on my counter. They are so crunchy, crispy, and delicious. Enjoy!
